BlueHost File Limit?

Does BlueHost have a file limit? Many hosts like this say “Unlimited” everywhere, but is it really unlimited?

I was showing over 100,000 files in my bluehost account. This was causing warnings and messages to appear throughout the control panel telling me I could be in violation of the terms of service.

Your account contains more than 9740 directories and may pose a potential performance risk to the server.
Please reduce the number of directories for your account to prevent possible account deactivation.

I cut that number down to about 80,000 by reducing some caching and removing themes from WordPress that I wasn’t using. I then opened a chat session to find out the real scoop.

Basically the Unlimited limits are:

200,000 files and 1000 MySQL tables.

The support Tech said what I have is normal, and not to worry. Anytime it gets over 50,000 it triggers the messages, and to just keep it under the 200k and 1000 table limit and I’m fine.
